A little history
Jim Arnott and Bret Lawrence, pictured below, purchased Cooksey’s Drug Store at 1 E. Madison and took over operation on Monday August 6, 1973.

In the summer of 1975 Eyler Drug, formerly Cook’s Drug store, was bought and Iola Pharmacy was relocated to its current address of 109 E. Madison, pictured below. In 1987, the pharmacy added to its customer base with the purchase of Knorp Drug, which was in the Iola Plaza.

Arnott became the sole owner of Iola Pharmacy in 1988. Jeff Dieker bought into the company in 1991, followed by Bill Walden in 1993 and Jim Bauer in 1994. Jim Arnott sold his remaining shares to Dieker, Walden, and Bauer in 2001. A 4th staff pharmacist, Travis Coffield, purchased a share in 2007. To this day Arnott has continued to serve as a staff pharmacist.
